Product Attributes Taxonomy

This function or procedure is available with SAP CRM or SAP ERP as the back end connected to SAP Web Channel Experience Management. Note that if you use SAP CRM as the back end, a system connection between SAP CRM and SAP ERP might be required.

This function allows SAP ERP or SAP CRM product master data to be filtered in the Web shop using product attributes (called product characteristics in SAP CRM and SAP ERP). The master data is stored in SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management (SAP NetWeaver MDM) repositories and assembled into product catalogs. The catalog items (products) are then classified into a hierarchy that enables Web shop customers to filter products by their individual or common attributes.

Prerequisites

You have maintained set types and attributes using the following:

SAP CRM	SAP ERP
Transaction COMM_ATTRSET  Note SAP Web Channel Experience Management supports the following SAP CRM attribute types: Character string Checkbox Integer Decimal number Multiple values are supported if you use a value range. Value tables are not supported.	Transaction CLHP  Note SAP Web Channel Experience Management supports the following SAP ERP attribute types: Character string Integer Decimal number Multiple values are supported if you use a value range. Value tables are not supported.
