Periodic Billing
- Periodic billing plans are generally used in Service documents. An example process would be a monthly cleaning service where at the end of the month the cleaning is billed. This bill value would generally be the same every month - it may vary that the first or last month have pro-rata values depending on dates. WIth periodic billing BRI's are pricing relevant. The item net value is the sum of all the biling reqest items. Time dependant pricing conditions should be used in the configuration. As the billing request items generally have the same bill value then grouping can be used. This reduces the IPC calls as only one pricing call will be made for all the BRI's with the same period lengh. This can significantly improve performance. In the below example the periods are all the same length therefore if grouping were active for this billing plan type only one IPC call would be made instead of three.
